INTRODUCTION TO CRAPS
The best thing about Craps is that there are easy ways to play and more challenging ways to play – this makes it a great game for nearly anyone. Craps is mostly based on luck as you are wagering on the outcome of a roll of two dice. The game requires at least two players (max. 6) to play and the more players, the more exciting the game!
HOW TO PLAY CRAPS
The game of Craps requires there be a shooter at all times – this is the person who throws the dice. All players place their bets before the shooter throws the dice. The first throw of the dice is called the ‘Come out Roll’ and the shooter must place what is called a ‘Pass Line’ or ‘Don’t Pass Line’ bet. To win on the Pass Line bet the shooter needs to roll a 7 or 11 and not a 2, 3 or 12 (which would be a loss). Any other number rolled becomes the ‘point’. The shooter then can roll the dice until they either roll the ‘point’ or a 7. If the ‘point’ comes up before a 7, all ‘pass line’ bets win, but if a 7 comes up first then all the ‘pass line’ bets lose.
In Craps there are multiple types of bets which will become more familiar as you start play. Here is a list of the most basic bets:
Pass Line – This bet was explained above and pays out 1:1.
Don’t Pass Line – This bet is opposite of the Pass Line where the bet would win if the shooter rolled a 2, or 3 on the Come out Roll. This bet loses if the Come out Roll is a 7 or 11 and ties on a 12 (push). Any other number becomes a point therefore this bet wins if the shooter rolls a 7 before the point and loses if the shooter rolls the opposite. Don’t Pass bets can be removed or reduced before the shooters second roll. Payouts for this bet are 1:1.
Come – These bets are almost the same as the Pass Line bets only they are made after the Come out Roll. In this case the player wins if the following roll is a 7 or 11 and loses if the roll is a 2, 3 or 12. Any other numbers become the ‘Come Point’ and now the shooter is trying to roll the Come Point before a 7 (which is a win), otherwise the bet will lose. Payouts for this bet are also 1:1 however these bets cannot be changed or removed.
Don’t Come – Bets are placed after the first come out roll and rules are generally the same as the Don’t Pass Line bet. Payout is again, 1:1.

Using these, you should be able to learn the basics while trying out some brand news way to bet and win!
First, players should get to know the basics of the same, which means playing smart and being disciplined with money. Before playing, gamers should set a limit for how much money they intend to spend while playing. Players can also exercise discipline by sticking to only one strategy while playing and not switching in between games. Players should play out the strategy they started with and see the whole game through. Finally, players should get to know the good bets in craps, such as the Pass Line and Come Bets, which are both supposed be free odds.
Here are the different strategies that players have found most useful for winning at Craps.
Martingale Strategy
This strategy is used for a variety of different casino games, such as Roulette, because it is very simple to follow. First, players must increase their bet each time they lose, which allows them to eventually make back all of their money that was lost before. It is risky, however, and players must be prepared to continue doubling their bet until they win. Once the player does secure a win, then they should return to their original amount.
Paroli Strategy
The opposite of Martingale, Paroli requires that players double their bet only when they win, so they can cash in on their winning streak. Once you lose, then you should return to the original amount. This is considered to be a more reliable and less risky strategy than Martingale, as it is not entirely dependent on your bankroll.
Gambler’s Fallacy
With this strategy, players are required to pay attention to the patterns that appear within multiple dice rolls. Players are encouraged to bet on numbers that haven’t been rolled within the last 10 to 20 rounds. So, if a 5 has been rolled 3 times in 10 rounds, that number should be avoided, and players should go for a number that occurs less. This strategy was founded on the belief that past dice rolls effect future dice rolls, which is why so many players argue that this strategy is unreliable. However, it is a great strategy to use when testing the odds and can be good fun!
